“We are so utterly ordinary, so commonplace, while we profess to know a Power the Twentieth Century does not reckon with. But we are “harmless,” and therefore unharmed. We are spiritual pacifists, non-militants, conscientious objectors in this battle-to-the-death with principalities and powers in high places. Meekness must be had for contact with men, but brass, outspoken boldness is required to take part in the comradeship of the Cross. We are “sideliners” — coaching and criticizing the real wrestlers while content to sit by and leave the enemies of God unchallenged. The world cannot hate us, we are too much like its own. Oh that God would make us dangerous!” Jim Elliot
Oh, let us pray that God would make us dangerous!!!!

I love the quotes from Jim Elliott!!! My favorite is… he is no fool to give up that which he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose!!!
Have you seen the movie or read the book written by Steve Saint? Its wonderful!!! I remember reading the book written by Elizabeth Elliott when I was younger! The men went to the college my Mother attended (Wheaton). There story was one I grew up hearing about!!!
I am amazed anew at the Mercy of God! What a beautiful reminder that He gives a fresh start! I cannot help but give praise to a God like this!

I’m reading “The Shadow of the Almighty: The Life and Testament of Jim Elliot” by Elisabeth Elliot right now – talk about a powerful testimony!! It’s deeply impacting, and stirs a passion in my heart for more… More… MORE of Jesus!
