I have thought of that often. It is easier to be silent when I should speak up, in order to not be ill thought of. Sadly, though, when you do stand for truth, criticism sometimes comes from other believers who are not living as they should and our life is a conviction to them.
Hmmm…..I thought of this verse a few days ago and didn’t have time to look up the reference. Thanks!

@BooksForMe - I believe I fail the test of this verse. I think of the apostles and even our Lord’s life and how so many did NOT speak well of them. Yet, I think the opposite would be true of me. I believe it’s because I am more afraid to offend (focus on self) than to speak the truth in love (focus on others). Something I am continually working on.
