  • Cleaning Day!

Beware! This post may put you to sleep! I had a blast getting rid of STUFF today! It feels so good to have less STUFF to deal with now!

Before I show you the BEFORE picture of my craft closet I want you to see the bedroom so you won’t think I’m a slob!

Here is the granchildren’s bedroom! See! It’s nice and neat, right?

Okay. Prepare yourself! Here is my craft and sewing closet! I’ll show you both sides. The boxes and tubs are full of jeans for the ladies at church to use in making quilts.

It looks worst than I thought!

Here is that same neat bed! I went through every piece of fabric I owned and threw away all the small pieces. I also had a shelf in my hall closet with material. By the time I finished I was able to clear the shelf in the hall and free up 2 drawers in the 6 plastic drawer ‘thingy a bob’! I kept my big roll of batting for future quilting.

I took all the tubs of jeans out to the clothes trailer (for the give away). So, this is how the closets look now.

I have two small bookshelves filled with books I read to my children when we homeschooled. I’ve saved them to read to my grandchildren. I’m going to go through each one again to make sure I want to hold on to all of them. Plus, I have wrapping paper stored under the bed that I want to clean out and purge.

Oh, this feels SO good! LOL!! I know! I know! You’re thinking this lady needs to get a LIFE! LOL!!

  • hey you are right. my mom is innacanoe. what made you decide that I might be her daughter? i guess i have pitures up, so that might explain it.

  • Did I hear you say you threw out  the small pieces of fabric.  AAAAAAAAAWWWW!  I’m a fabric lover and I can’t imagine throwing out fabric.

By the way you closet looks wonderful.  I spyed a folded quilt top.  Would love to see it folded out.

You have a great day and I’m really glad you feel good about decluttering.  It’s a good thing I know.

  • We all need a life at one point or another.    We all been there.  My grandma had alot of stuff, so don’t feel to bad.   We all have our struggles.

You’ll get threre getting through stuff. Take it one day at a time.

    Blessing,

    Amy

  • We face the exact same thing here that is happening in other places in the world i.e. Iraq Afghanstan, Israel, Darfur, Indonesia. Thats what going to be happening in our streets if we don’t wake up and put a stop to them “teaching” violence, hate and terrorisim in their schools and mosques. Do I hate the people, No but I don’t trust most of them because they won’t stand up and be counted against the terrorists that are killing in Allah’s name. People here need to do a little studying in the Koran and see what they really believe. They certainly don’t believe or think like we do. Theirs is a culture of death, ours is a culture of life. We can’t understand how they think, like putting bomb belts on their own children to have them blow themselves up to kill the infidel, and glorifying the act.

Have a blessed week & God keep you safe, healthy & happy. HUGS

  • Yes, I have thought that we are headed for the same things, also. I wouldn’t suggest anyone read the Koran, though, just for the fact that I wouldn’t want to give the enemy any chance to influence me with falst truth or error. But, I do understand what you mean as far as we should know what they believe in order to minister Christ to them. Hard time ahead. Praise God we have the promise that Christ has overcome the world. Does the book teach you how to minister to these lost souls?
