Question for the Day: Godly Woman you Know
Who is the godliest woman you know ‘personally’?
I’d love to have you share what it is about their life that qualifies them for this honor.

My mind immediately went to my mother. I consider her the godliest woman I know because she has gone through a lot of very difficult circumstances in life and as far as I know never harbored the first bit of anger or bitterness in her heart. She cries a little, prays a lot and forgives mountains. I want to be just like her when I grow up.
I have been blessed to know many godly women…Each one of them shared some amazing qualities…I believe humility tops the list–the strong desire to glorify God above anyone or anything else–the desire to promote His agenda and not their own–the constant cry that was heard not so much in words but in deeds that resonated, HE must become greater…I must become less.”
Thanks for allowing us to reflect, Georgene. With much love and many prayers, Paula
I would have to say my dear friend, Cherie. She loves the Lord with all her heart. She is the most unselfish person that I know. She is always willing to help no matter what. She is a wonderful wife and mother. She is a powerful prayer warrior and Bible study leader as well.
I would say my friend, Lou-Ann- she is the one who shared Jesus with me. She was a stranger who would come into the cafe where I worked and instead of saying thank you; she would say ”Jesus loves you”. After awhile, I decided to ask her why she thought that and she started telling me why and invited me to her church. I went for something to do and wouldn’t you know it? that was the night that she missed! However I did go back and that is the church where hubby and I gave our hearts to the Lord in 1987. Lou-Ann is gone home to be with Jesus who loves her, and you and me. huggles, Marilyn Christine
The first one that I thought of is a woman that I have observed growing up in the church I’ve attended since 2nd grade. She’s from the south, and has a quiet spirit about her.She loves the Lord, and I can tell when she talks about the Lord , she has an intimate relationship.I’m not close to her,but an observer. She has a quiet spirit, she trusts the Lord. She never brings attention to herself, when she asks about me/family she grabs my hand and looks me in the eye. She is probably in her mid 80′s,and has always been this way. Good question!
RYC: My mother has never doubted God’s Word. She has a very trusting spirit about her and I know that has come from having to rely on God’s grace and strength in order to cope, all her life, including her life as a small child. As one of those who commented above, humility is one shining example of a godly woman. My mother is the most hospitable person I have ever known and I know having company to their house for a meal or overnight has always been for the sole purpose to minister to their needs and to learn to know them better. I have never sensed even a tiny bit of her having company so people can see her things, or can see her flowers or anything like that. She is so selfless and that inspires me. She has gotten it, unknowingly even, from her great desire to please God.
Thank you for praying for my Mother. I would have to say she is the godliest lady I know. She is a prayer warrior, and especially when I have concerns about my children, I can take those to her and I know she will pray faithfully about it. She is a wonderful example for me.
before I answer “who” I’d like to say “what”. A godly woman to me is someone who is madly in love with Jesus. She is haunted by his presence day and night. (thank Oswald for the visual) She is the person you go to for serious advice because you know she will tell you the TRUTH. Three people come to mind. Paula L., Laine and Auntie Gramma Georgene! And I have to agree with one of the other posters, humility is right up their with adoring Jesus.
