I had a plan. I tried to follow that plan. But, I didn’t follow the plan afterall! I had posted a few days ago that I wasn’t going to make goody plates this year because of some health issues and the need to stay away from sugar. I really had planned on sticking with that plan.
Yesterday, my granddaughter spent the day with me. I thought I would make her some caramel popcorn. One thing led to another and by the end of the day I had baked pumpkin bread, caramel corn, peanut brittle, Cherry Wink cookies, Peanut Butter and Chocolate Pinwheels, Peanut Butter balls, fudge and Mounds balls. I’m worn out but I enjoyed handing out all the platters to our drivers and our neighbors and family. I snacked way too much yesterday but was very controlled today. I finished up the plates today so by tomorrow there will be no more sweets in the house until Christmas.
My feet and back hurt! Too tired to write anything else. I need to get back in the kitchen and finish cleaning. I have to say I did enjoy the baking!
God bless!

Well guess what, I don’t think a one of us can make a plan and ridgedly stick to it.
I know I haven’t. Your goodie plates sound wonderful. What fun to have with your granddaughter, making memories that will last a life time. Have a blessed week & God keep ya’ll safe. HUGS
well i guess this comment won’t be helpful to you either then….i posted a couple of the recipes i used yesterday and my memories surrounding them…..i hope you stop by and enjoy the read!

Oh my word! You really outdid yourself; but i imagine it was fun doing it with your granddaughter. My GK’s are too far away for that sort of thing and i miss it. Rest up and have a wonderful day.
Sounds like you made baked good and also wonderful memories with your grandaughter, which is the most precious thing of all!
What a flurry of activity in your kitchen! You can take medication for those outbursts of manic activity, you know… :0)
